Hi rohojamagic, …
Hi rohojamagic, yes you could put a baffle in the stove , the flue from the stove I use in the work shop gets really hot, I place a fan behind it to circulate warm air, I try to get the most from the stove, it’s your choice, thanks dave.

Hi Dave.
Great set of videos! I would love to have a workshop like yours, unfortunately I work out of a garden shed so my projects are a biy smaller. I am making a smaller version of a stove, from a 17kg bottle. Its almost finished it just needs the flue conector on the top. Do you not need a baffle inside to direct the heat slightly away from the chimney?
Hi anthonyuk, yes …
Hi anthonyuk, yes the bottle needs to be empty, only then the top unscrewed, then filled with water and left for a few days, lie the bottle on the ground let some water out and start to cut the shape you want, all this will need to be done out side away from any buildings,if after cutting a hole in the bottle you can still smell gas, make a fire in the bottle this should clear the smell, thanks dave.
Does it not have to …

Hi jstatrck, I’ve …
Hi jstatrck, I’ve got a supply from an feed tank to the jacket, one inlet and one outlet to rads, and a return to the feed tank, the end of this is looped over, if I don’t turn the pump on, when the water gets hot I can hear the water go up this pipe, it will still circulate but slowly, I refill with a bucket full of water once a year, as long as the waters got room to expand it’s ok, mine works fine, the expansion go’s back into the feed tank, I only lose through evaporation, thanks dave.
So the open loop …
So the open loop system does not require an expansion tank. Do you loose much water this way
