Theres this fireflace that I want to buy off of craigslist and it’s a gas fireplace…?

it is made to look like a wood burning stove. and has an electric ignitor. so is real fire in it, how does the gas work in it? I live in a apartment so I’m worried about the fire situation?? Please explain

yes its real fire-runs off of propane or natural gas-there are fake logs in it to give it a burning look-
