I have made stoves … I have made stoves like this with the holes in the bottom side of the stove, but this was an experiment and it seemed to have worked fairly well. Since this stove I have built another which I used 3/16 expanded metal as a grate in the bottom of the burn chamber and it has turned out to work even better then this stove shown here. I also increased the top holes on the burn chamber to 3/8 of an inch. For me this design works, it is all in how you want the stove to work, everyone has a preference.
Sorry about that i was entranced by the music and forgot to comment on the stove before hitting post comment… lol…:)
Noticed you didnt put holes around the inner bottom can wall similar to the ones at the top of the inner can wall and just put holes on the flat bottom of the inner can, did you find they werent needed? was there any ash build up that affected the intake of air at the bottom of the inner can? few holes on the bottom of the inner can wall helps
You should see the … You should see the protos, they are a mess. After I figure out what Im doing thats when I make the one to be used. And the ones that do not make it to the trail still get recycled so they can be put to use somewhere else.
Great stove. The … Great stove. The one thing I really like about your designs, is that they always look professionally made, like I could buy it in a store. Excellent work.
Very Interesting … Very Interesting Stove Design. I’m going to try the holes in the bottom of my stove and see what results I get from that, Also I am thinking of adding maybe a couple more holes in the burn chamber. In Fact Your Video and your insight has given me another idea I need to work on when I wake up in a few hours. Oh Wait the coffee Brewer Is Making me more coffee, Looks Like I won’t be sleeping in this morning.
the can has the top … the can has the top cut out, I flanged out the burn chamber, put another can lid over the top with a smaller hole cut in it to hold the burn chamber in place. I riveted it into place.
