There seems to be a lot of interest in NCHiker1970’s “Backpacker’s Mini Forge Wood Stove”. I’ve recieved a bunch of emails asking what happened to my wood stoves. To be honest I didn’t think anyone was much interested in the Wood stoves with all the alcohol stuff going on out there.
In this vid I show a wood forge that I have been working on.

Not sure about these wood burning stoves. To much work. Find wood break it up. What if it rains. Im going to stay with alcohol burners. Nice stove though.

Im liking the way you got your fan setup looks great, I found the tip about the deoderizor fan the best, I woz using a pc fan like the 1’s u have & like u say they need more power, the deoderisor looks 2 b more eficient!!!

I have a switch like that in the solar battery I’m working on for these stoves. Isn’t it pretty cool how the same idea gets around to us all. That’s one reason why I share all my vids even if they are failures, so we don’t all waste time on the same bad idea.

Those pellets will burn hot i have done it in my serra stove.I got all most this round up for my wood stove i got on of then milk shake cans let you do it first then me he. he.Oh i got a 3 way switch so i can run 4 batteres or 2

Great idea Hiram! I like the idea of a inserted burn chamber. This idea I had started out with a stove I could break down and fit inside of it self. I looked at few videos on youtube and tried to recreate the Sierra Zip stove. By double lining the walls of the burn chamber with another can I found it could withstand a lot more heat. No more warping or melting. Also the cans pink salmon come in are a lot more durable for burn chambers, it is what I am using on my next forge. Great Video!
